Question:
Bleeding Gums: I have never had any dental problems before.
But I think I contacted some dental disorder from a girl that I kissed. Since then my gums bleed continously.
I do not think it is gingivitis since my gums look strong and they are not red. I have also noticed that I have chronic bad breath. I have gone to a dentist but all they say is that I am suffering from a vitamin C and A deficiency.
But I think it might be bigger than that. The bleeding is worst when I am brushing and when I am sleeping. At any given time, when I spit even my saliva is somehow reddish because of the bleeding. Please, please help am desperate. ...Visitor from Ukraine
Answer:
The cause of your bleeding gums is a mystery to me without a lot more information.
I doubt that you got this through kissing, although this is not impossible.
My first guess would be Acute Necrotizing Ulcerative Gingivitis, which is also known as Trench Mouth. But, the gum tissues would be swollen, red, painful, and covered by a grayish membrane and you would feel sick and most likely have a temperature.
There are many systemic reasons for bleeding gums, some of them quite serious. I am not trying to frighten you, only inform you that you will need to keep looking until you find a possible cause.
I would probably see a medical doctor if the denitst has not diagnosed some form of periodontal disease. Of course, another dentist may see something different.
