Question:
Broken Bridge Anchor Post: I had a root canal and post installed in my eye tooth.
The post was used to support a 4 tooth bridge, with the 2x middle teeth missing. The post in the eye tooth broke at the surface of the tooth. Is it possible to remove the old post and replace it with another? ...Visitor from CA
Answer:
Your options depend on what you have in your mouth.
How long is the root, what kind of post, can it be removed, did the root canal work, does it need retreatment, do you grind your teeth etc.?
There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before we can make any decisions and recommend any
type of treatment.
Sometimes posts can be removed and the tooth is very serviceable.
