Cerec Crowns - here are a couple of comments:
New Crown - sometimes the teeth are sensitive after cementing the crown but the sensitivity decreases over time. All that you have to do is wait and the tooth will be more comfortable. If the tooth remains sensitive, you may have to replace the crown.
Lingering Sensitivity - if a tooth has sensitivity to cold most of the time then it could be the occlusion. Your bite could be too hard on that tooth and it is sensitive due to the traumma.
Another possibility of sensitivity could be that the nerve is permanently inflammed or infected especially if the tooth is sentisive to hot. The nerve may have to be removed by completing endodontic care.
If the sensitivity is mild, the dentist may be able to desensitize the root surface with laser, desensitizing chemicals or you can try a desensitizing tooth paste.
