Missing Teeth Ask The Dentist Chris McFarland Question:
Childrens teeth: My 8 year old son has about 16 missing adult teeth on an x-ray. Is there an underlying medical issue to be concerned with? ...Visitor from PA

Answer:
It is unlikely that at this point your son would not have been diagnosed with a medical condition that displays absence of permanent teeth.

I would suggest that you take him to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine to see the dental specialist there who could help you with a long range plan
