Traditional Braces Didn't Work: I have an overbite. My front and bottom teeth seem to jut forward. The bottom teeth aren't that bad but the top makes me self-conscious. My top teeth do not touch my bottom teeth at all. I'm nineteen years old and I've had braces, though they don't seem to have worked very well. I would like an alternative to braces for aesthetic reasons. My question is: Are braces a definite treatment procedure or will something more drastic like surgery be required also, now that I'm nearly out of my teens? ... Visitor from New York (answer)
