Video: Implants for Congenitally Missing Teeth
Tooth Replacement Choices

Question:
I am 18 and I have already had braces once. I still have many of my baby teeth.

I was wondering when I get these baby teeth pulled (they are acting up) can I get braces again to fill this gap? ... Visitor from NC

Answer:
Yes, braces could be used, as an option but be sure to review LOTS of pictures of people who have had similar treatments (using braces to move teeth into missing tooth sites).

Moving teeth to fill in missing teeth can cause some very unusual cosmetic effects since people are "used to" seeing teeth of certain proportions in a smile. When those different sized teeth are moved to different positions, many people will notice it.

Some patients who have had it done... had it all "undone" and then had dental implants placed to create what is "supposed to be" in the average smile. Be careful....
