Question:
Remove 4 bicuspids? I'm currently having braces.

The orthodontist said I have a little underbite and narrow upper jaw. She is making me wear an expander and lower lip bumper.

She also wants to remove my 4 biscupids. I really don't want to lose my teeth, but want to achieve good smile, too. I'm confused. By the way, I had my wisdom teeth removed 3 months ago. ...Visitor from MD

Answer:
Do not allow anyone to remove four bicuspids for orthodontic purposes.

The smile is much prettier with all your teeth (except wisdom teeth) present. Wisdom teeth extraction is most often a helpful procedure.
