Bottom and top braces together: My daughter is 14 years old. The doctor recomended to put bottom and top braces together the same day without any prior diagnostics.

Is it a profesional approach? Shouldn't he put top braces on first and then and after 2 or 3 months but btaces on the bottom bottom row? ... Visitor from Armenia

Take your daughter to a certified orthodontist who prescribes orthodontic treatments with a full complement of panoramic xrays and diagnostic workup.

Placing braces on both arches, if required for treatment, almost routinely occurs during the same appointment.

Delaying the placement of a braces on a particular arch may nonetheless be recommended to address an unusual occlusal issue.
